Suspect a plugged rubber drain tube for the air conditioning. Look under the hood, on the firewall, just right of center. It's a right angle rubber tube, about four inches long, and is held on with a springy wire ring. Squeezing the ends of the ring will allow it to be pulled off. Sometimes you only have to squeeze the tube to release debris stuck inside. Water might come rushing out too. If nothing comes out, remove the tube, then carefully stick a pencil into the plastic spout to dislodge anything that might be stuck in there.

If you don't have air conditioning, suspect a leaking heater core. The leaking fluid will smell sweet, and the level will drop in the radiator or overflow reservoir. This will also cause the windshield to fog up on the inside when using the defroster. If that doesn't appear to be the problem, there could be a leak around the windshield, but this is only common on Ford trucks.
