Approxiamately how much would it cost to replace the upper and lower ball joints on my 1996 Dodge Dakota 2WD? I am mechanically inclined is this something I could do in my backyard without too much agravation?

Hi:
If you never worked on ball joints, I would recommend having it done elsewhere. It is involved.

If you take it to a mechanic, est 40.00 per ball joint, and about 2.5 hrs to complete it.
