My truck has been burning a little oil. Ive been having to add a quart of oil to it about every two weeks. When checking the oil in my truck Ive have notice a light gasoline smell on the oil dipstick. Is it posiable that there could be gas mixing with the oil while im running the truck. If so what is causing the gas to get in the oil, and why is it burning or using oil? What can I do to fix it?

THANKS, RICK

A few things can cause this. When you drive the truck, do you make short trips or long ones? Also, have you kept the oil changed on a regular basis? Has the check engine light ever come on? Also, how many miles do you put on the truck for it to use a quart? Keep in mind, if fuel is mixing with the oil, it thins out and can get past the rings and burn in the combustion chamber.

Let me know.
