I noticed when I wash my car, and do the undercarriage wash when I go thru a car wash. The car gives off alot of steam. And when I stop the car right after, steam comes up from the car and under the hood and some up inside the window. And I notice the inside of my windshield gets this film on it and its so hard to clean off. I figure something is running hotter than normal, there's also some fading with the paint on my driver side doors. The sections near each wheel. Im assuming its from that. I dont know much bout cars but I know ive never had a car steam like that after goin thru the car wash. Is this normal for a v8 hemi? I have a warranty and I want to know if its something I can get fixed. I know it shouldnt make my paint (the glossy coat) fade on the doors unless theres a problem.

If water is getting on the catalytic converters, it will definitely steam. But as for your paint fading, I can't be sure.

If the car is under warranty, take it in. It's possible the heat shields for the cats are damaged.
