Hi i, m have problems with a my carb boiling its a new 360 engine with "j" heads enginge temp is at 210f at the intake manifold take by a hand laser.I, ve put a new radiator 2 core copper in it and they say a 318 and the 360 are the same rads and has a elbroock 600 carb also new. When go for a drive and then shut the car of I can hear it bubbling in the carb and see it dripping gas down inside the carb. The floats have been set severe times I also have the heat shield between the carb and manifild and the intake manifold is a mopar. So is it the carb if so what type would you suggest to use as a carb.I went on a trip and pulled a camper trialer and went 400 miles and never had the car boiler over on me and the out temp was in the high 70f. With today's fuel and the alcohol in it, it will be hard to stop the boiling. The only thing I could suggest is to usea 1" aluminum or bakelight spacer between teh carb and manifold to get rid of the heat. Your engine doesn't seem to be out of heat range by what you explain to cause this. You could try rerouting the fuel line or wrapping it with insulation/aluminum foil to help. But other than that I can't think of much. What you are describing is a hot soak condition. What you also could check or change would be the intake gasket to see if it's the correct one and putting to much heat for the EGR accross the manifold causing this.
