This problem happens maybe once every couple of weeks - when coming to a stop I hear a humming sound & feel vibration in the sterring wheel - it all dissapears when I start driving - it sounds like a motor or pump clicking on - any suggestions? I took my Van to a Mechanic but of course it worked fine while he drove it - I also took it to a transmission repair and they said no problem with that

If you have Anti-lock brakes, it may be the sound of the hydraulic motor which turns on after braking sometimes. It is referred to as an ABS brake motor. If you sit at idle and apply the brakes repeatedly you can hear it. It gets noisey.
Not abnormal in an 8 year old system. Ok
