Electrical problem
2001 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Radio tends to go on and off for intervals ranging from 5 seconds to 5 minutes.
Also the heater blows cold and hot even though the temp gauge shows normal temperature.
Someone suggested a controller. Any suggestions?

The most common problem with the radios in these vehicles is the on / off switch going bad (soder joint) The only way to repair them is to remove the radio, disassemble it, and repair the joint.

As far as the heat, it sounds like you are low on engine coolant. Have you checked that? Let me know.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
