Electrical problem
2000 Dodge Caravan V8 Automatic 132, 00 miles

Helllo all, I have a 2000 dodge grand Caravan. Since the first time we purchase the van, we were experiencing the locks, locking and unlocking and light flashing saying the door was open when we know it was closed. (Automatic lock system). We had the problem off and on a year. Then out the blue the blower to the heater and air stop working in the middle of winter. My husband had a mechanic (friend) wire it for it to work, but the blower must be turn off or the battery will die. A few times, we forget to turn it off and it eventually it killed that battery. When we try to replace the battery, the car would not start at all. We could not figure it our for two weeks( very hard times) Finally a mechanic (another professional) took a look at it and got it to start. It took him over 3 hours to get it started. He believe it could be the computer module. I guess this computer controls everything with the van. A few weeks went by and everything seems to be ok. Until one day, I was leaving church. I started the van and as I drove off, it at like it was running out of gas when gas was in the van. It will spatter and shake like it running out of fuel. I took it auto zone and they did a test. They explain about my oxygen sensor possibly goning wrong. The car at fine only if you start the engine to warm it up. You must first feel the engine roar like you feet on the gas and then pull off (pain). I dont know if it's my computer module or oxygen sensor. We still have issues with the car still not wanting to start up because the alternator is not keeping the battery charge (Brand spanking new battery). This happen once in a while. The mechanic look at the starter, (good) alternator (good). Fuel pump (new) and that is what he saying. Please help, my husband and I are at wits end!

It might be best to have a dealer look at it. They have the computer scanner and information to repair it, I am sorry your having this problem, but good luck, it may just need to be reset by the DRBIII(R) at the dealer. Thanks
