2000 Dodge Caravan

Three days ago the check engine light went on on my 2000 Grand Caravan. I read on the owner's manual that I may have to take it to a dealer so they cna find out the problem. Also, the manual says that if the gas gap is not lock properly y may cause the engine light on. I checked the gas gap and indeed, it was not locked at all, so we did lock it, but the list still on. Any suggestions?

Cycle ignition key ON OFF ON OFF ON read trouble codes in the odometer area (p000, donE)

Had the same problem, after the van cycles though a few days with no problems the light went off by itself
