manual says to support engin from above, but is it possible to use a bottle jack from underneath to support the engine

Yes, you can support it from underneath, I wouldn't trust a small bottle jack though. Need a larger support device such as a 3-ton floor jack.

Hi
i have a 3 ton floor jack so where would be a good place to support the engine,
do the lower engine mounts have to be completly removed in order to get access to the oil pan bolts. Also do I have to remove the oil pickup strainer

is this a big job, any tips would be of great help.
