Was driving 1999 Dodge Caravan, as I was turning the van would only coast and there was a engine knock. I checked the oil and it was completely full. Started it back up and the noise was loud. I didn't even have to hit the gas to hear it. Let the car sit for about 1 1/2 hours and the noise was there but really low and you could only hear it when you hit the gas. Drove it for about 5 to 10 minutes and the noise came back and it got loud again.

Most likely a failed connecting rod bearing.

Repair means the engine has to come out of the vehicle and be torn down. If it's a spun bearing you would likely need at least a replacement rod and crank kit with bearings as the spun bearing would have damaged at least the internal bore of the rod and more than likely the crank surface as well. No way to tell unless you measure it and check the dimensions against the specifications.
