1999 Dodge Caravan Heater only works when moving

My 1999 Dodge Caravan heater only warms up after the car has been moving for a while, no matter how long it's been running in the driveway and sometimes it doesn't get warm at all. Is there something I can do to fix this without taking it in to a mechanic?

Hi:
First make sure the coolant level is full. If it is, keep an eye on the engine temp to make sure it's running at a normal operating temp.

Let me know what you find.
