Replaced plugs and wires. Removed throttle body, battery and plenum to replace rear plugs and wires. When the van is started the engines runs at high rpms and will not idle down. Throttle is closed but engine still runs wide open.

Yes, The check Engine light comes on and the codes are PO122 and PO123 which are both for the TPS. Replaced the TPS and still have the same problem. Could this happen because the battery was removed from the van for a while?

That is odd. One is a high current and the other low. Have you checked wiring?

Got it fixed! It was the plenum gasket. Too much air. Replaced the gasket and all is fine
