1998 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

We had a big storm here in Ohio. Unfortunatelt I was on the road driving when it hit. The roads were flooded almost immediately, but I had no choice but to go through the water. My van cut off and now its making a rattle noise when I attempt to start it.

Hello,

Does the vehicle start? If it doesn't it is more than likely the Starter. If it was submerged then water got into it and has shorted it.
If possible take starter off and take to your local parts store they should be able to bench test it to confirm.
