2005 Dodge Caravan Rattle in rear end

When driving down the road u get a rattle from the rear end when u hit a bump if u apply the brakes it goes away. COULD IT BE THE BRAKES?

It could be the brakes, but if they were rattling it would usually not brake properly or make noise while braking too. It could be something in the suspension too and when you brake the weight shifts and makes the rattle go away
