We went out to start my van after this Ice storm it had not been started for a day or two, Well my sliding door was left open and in result drained the battery. My husband had set the alarm off when he got in it and tried to start it but it would not start. Then I shut the alarm off with the actual thing to shut it off. Then it acted like it was gonna start then it died. He tried to jump it first but it would not jump. So then he fully charged the battery on a charger. And it would still not start. He checked all the fuses and relays. We can not find the problem please help!
thank you

Take it to the auto parts store like Advanced or Auto Zone and have them check if the alternator is shot or sezed. The Alternator has a direct link to the starter motor. One won't work without the other. Check your wiring to your alarm. All that ice may have arced, remember water (ice) is a conductor and if there was an exposed hot wire it may have shorted someting simple out. It can only be a few thing like, ignition switch, battery, coil, alternator, or the starter. You can check if the coil or alternator is working by making a jump line and attach it to you coil, turn your switch to the on position and tap the alternator to see if it lets out a spark. If it does then you coil is good. Make sure your gound for your coil is not corroded.
