Joe from Pittsburg answered my question I am new here so I could not figure out how to reoly to him
I took it to the local shop our church uses the service engine soon light had just come on and the car was doing horrible jerky type rough running sort of bucking they called me and told me the transmission was gone. They said it would be more than the car is worth to replace the trans. My Nephew has been as certified master technician for years The car has 155almost 156,000 miles on it he has offered to rreplace the transmission if I buy the trans he will do all the work for free. It sounds like a good idea to me everything else works on the car everything. Give me your opinion I have had it a year and 4 months from one owner serpentime belt was replaced 3 years ago etc. For the cost of the trans and my church is willing to buy the trans for me any car I would buy for that amount would probably be junk. I lost my job due to the economy and health issues so a new car is not possible what are your thoughts on this.

Sandy Parris Northern Virginia they need an answer by Friday my nephew is looking into prices I am sure rebuilt or salvage.

Hi:
It's Joe from Pittsburgh again. I don't remember the exact problem, but if the car is still in good condition and the engine runs good, you are right. Most likely you are better off fixing it because as you said, if you look for a car in that price range, it will be junk. If you need to get in touch with me, my email is jfelicia@wiu.K12. Pa. Us

I hope you have a much better new year!

Joe
