1997 Dodge Caravan just lost power while driving

The transmission was just replaced with a used one, and it shifts fine when it runs. After some driving the van shuts off, I will wait and try and start it again it would start agian, but the period of time that I would have to wait to get it started would increase untill to just won't start at all.

Is the check engine light on? If so have codes pulled.

It sound like it is possibly the Crank Shaft Sensor. I had similar problem with recent customers vehicle 97 Voyager, replaced tranny with used one. No codes given. The folks on this forum helped me greatly. I have tested everything. They finally suggested changing crank sensor, Vehicle runs Great now. So, now I am helping people like you and becoming a Moderator on this forum.
