1997 Dodge Caravan

We just rebuilt the transmission on this van replace all possible parts that have to with the transmission computer, input/output sensors, solenoid, and more. But the transmission slips in and out of gears and won't shift to higher gear or OD. Can you give your suggestion and expertise opinion on what we need to do or replace to fix the problem beside have open up the transmission again. Thank you.

That is a part of your problem.

Your particular transmission is actually one of the better tranny ever built, except it requires a certain trans fluid to make it perform. You need to drain all the fluid and replace it with ATF +4 (specifically formulated for Chrysler transmission. Brand doesn't really matter, for as long as it specifically states ATF +4. ATF Type F is meant for older Ford vehicles (1985 and older).
