When trying to start van (Grand ES 3.8 eng.) There is no power going to the dash panel and the van starts and then immidiately dies. Have had the problem for awhile, however, after the van sat the system would reset and power returned to the dash panel and the van would start. Also, I new when the problem was going to occur in that a day or two before, as I would be driving the entire dash panel would loose power and the needles on the dials would go flat. Now the van will not reset and won't start. Otherwise the van runs fine. Please help!

Hi:
First check the grounds on the battery, engine, and body to make sure nothing is broken. If everything looks clean and tight, have the body control module checked.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

Hi:
The BCM is the body control module. It is a computer that runs many different items in the vehicle. They have mounted them in many places, but the most common is behind the kick pannel on the driver's side.
