Could you tell me the procedure for removing and reinstalling a camshaft position sensor for a 1996 dodge caravan 3.0 and where to find the camshaft position sensor to begin with?

Hi asher78. Welcome to the forum. The camshaft position sensor lives inside the distributor. I've never had to replace one and I can't find any reference to replacing it in the service manual either. If you're sure it's bad, start by looking at the new sensor to see what it looks like. If I could find an exploded view, I could tell you if the distributor's shaft has to come out.

The sensor should be under a sheet metal cover after the rotor is unbolted. Holler back if you can't figure it out by looking at the new one.
