1989 Dodge Caravan sensor light stays on

The sensor light to service engine came on and stays on. Can I in some way reset this instead of taking it to a garage who wants 70 plus to do it?

Well, since the light came on it means that there is something not right going on with you engine and it would be smart to have it checked. However, you can take it to your local auto zone or similar and they will pull codes for free.
