1997 Dodge Caravan engine light on

"service engine soon" light came on and stayed on after I gassed up the vehicle. Could it be that they overfilled it? Should I have the light reset, or will it go away on its own.

Check and make sure the gas cap is on and tight
(click few times )
checking for codes would help in telling what is the cause for the check engine light
let me know what you have for codes
