1998 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I own a 1998 dodge grand caravan se with 160,000 miles on it. The service engine light is on. The mech. Change both oxygen sensors on it last week.A couple of days ago the light came back on. Took it back to him and he said the scanner said evap system. He tryed to say it was the gascap not on or not tight. He reset the light again but the light came back on again. What is causing this problem.I called the dodge dealer and he said it cant be the gascap it has to be something else. Any suggestions about this problem would be great.I am getting tired of bringing it over and getting the light reset.

Put your key in the ignition. Now turn the key to the on position but do not start the engine. Do this 4 times on the 4th time do not turn it off leave it and the check engine light will flash the codes that are on the computer. Get back with us on the codes and we can go from there. Also if you like you can just stop by autozone and they will scan it and let you know the codes for free.

Then we can help you better with the codes you give us.
