Diesel in petrol automatic car

One of the Ford authorized service centers filled diesel in my petrol car and their driver drove it for 25 kms to deliver the car to me. Next day we drove the car for 40 kms. I then complained to Ford and I am informed by Ford and they agreed that it was the mistake of their dealer and cleaning the fuel tank, fuel line and replacing the fuel filter, spark plugs fuel injectors and fuel pump. Will this fully solve the issue? Is that correct?

Hello,

Yes, that should fix the issue. They are replacing all of the systems that would have been affected by filling your vehicle with diesel instead of gasoline. Please feel free to ask any other automotive questions that you may have. That is what we are here for.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. My vehicle is just two years old, will this problem reduce the life of my car's engine? Should I not get the engine replaced?

No, I don't think just one time doing this will affect your engine at all, and the parts that would be affected are all going to be replaced. You should be just fine. They made a mistake and they are making it right, with Ford parts. You really can't ask or expect any more than this.

Thanks,
Alex
