When I use the cruise control it works good, but the minute I hit a small bump it goes off and I have to reset it. What could be the problem? Thank You

Sounds like the brake pedal stroke sensor is overly sensitive. The other item could be a loose connection at the switch or hybrid control unit. To test the brake sensor, take a road that you know will shut the cruise off. Put your toe under the brake pedal and hold it up when you hit bumps. If the cruise stays on it's likely the sensor. It is adjustable somewhat but it requires a scan tool to read the voltage it is telling the controller while you set it.

If however holding the brake pedal up doesn't stop it from shutting off. You will need a scan tool and the correct troubleshooting charts (multiple pages and steps) to keep testing. The actual cruise control is part of the hybrid control unit. The brake sensor however works just like any other car, it activates the brake lights and tells the HCU to turn off the cruise because you are braking.
