Cruise Control does not work?

I've tried engaging this. The Cruise light comes on, but when I reach the desired speed and try to engage CC, it doesn't work, the car just slows down.

There is no unusual feedback from the engine like the engine revs a bit or bogs etc.

The Brake light system is working ok, so I'm quite sure it's not that that is disabling the CC.

I'm a little frustrated that it doesn't work, especially with the long trips.

There are three fuses (4 and 2 dash fuse panel and 11 under hood fuse panel) that run the system which I have provided in the images below. This guide can help you test them for power as well:

If the fuses are okay, I have seen the clock spring go out behind the steering wheel which will make the cruise control to stop working. Here is the part so you know what I am talking about. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
