Hello, as you will see my car is a 1998 which usually come with a single overhead cam, however my car has a DOHC ka24de with the s14 trans. I’m wondering where the crankshaft position sensor pigtail goes. Possibly the colors of the wires? I had seen a forum saying blue with a pink chaser and a gray but cannot find anything else online for it. I did see a pigtail that had been cut off by the previous owner that goes to the trans which looks like it could be blue with a pink chaser and a grey. Any help is very much appreciated, thank you!

Yep, the crankshaft sensor goes at the engine of the engine near the top of the transmission, here is the location of the sensor and the PCM wiring diagrams with the crankshaft sensor because the color of the wire change after the pigtail. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response to the problem so we can see what's going on. I also included the engine wiring diagrams in case you need them.

That definitely helps a ton I’ll have to follow wires to see what I can find but under the car, however I still do not see any wires that resemble that wiring diagram, I saw 2 possible sensors on the side of the transmission passenger side and another on the top of the transmission near the shifter, one of the sensors on the passenger side is cut off, the other there is no pigtail near it, the one on the top has a pigtail but is not connected to anything. Per that first picture you sent I thought maybe the crank sensor may have gone to one of those sensors on the side of the transmission but obviously a sensor wouldn’t connect to a sensor so I’m kind of at a standstill until I can find time to trace wires from the PCM to where it’s supposed to go to the crankshaft sensor, if you could send a ECM diagram that would be great, I think the ECM is out of a 95 I was told.

The wiring diagrams above include the ECM. Here are the transmission wiring diagrams if they can help. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
