I have fuel getting to fuel rail, I have spark at plugs. I put a little gas in the throttle opening, put boot back on started for a second then shut off. Does this mean it has a bad fuel pump not giving it enough pressure to to injectors to run? I can hear the fuel pump come on when I turn the ignition on. Don't see a fuel pressure release valve on on top of this motor. I took the fuel line off the fuel rail got a friend to crank car fuel came out of line as it was being cranked. Was it supposed to spray or look like it is just being pumped out?

Hello thanks for using 2CarPros.

First check if any fault code present inside the engine control module.
Engine cranks but no start run our guides step by step:

Check figure 1 your fuel pump pressure must be between 51 to 60 psi ignition on engine off.

Procedure:

Before installing the fuel gauge to check the fuel pressure, release the pressure by removing fuel pump control unit connector check figure 2 which is located drivers side of the spare tire stowage compartment, start the engine until it stalls, disconnect the battery ground for safety reason, disconnect fuel jumper tube to fuel rail quick connect coupling, install the fuel gauge between fuel jumper tube and fuel tube, reconnect fuel pump control unit connector and the battery ground.cycle the ignition key wait for three seconds to pressurize the fuel system.check for leak before starting the engine. then start the engine fuel pressure must be as specified value of the figure 1 table.
Let us know what happens with you.
Thank you.
