If you are sure you are not getting any spark the next thing I would do is make sure the coil is getting a trigger from the ignition module. If you take a test light and hook the ground clamp to the positive side of the battery and unplug the coil and touch the negative lead to the coil with the test light while someone turns the engine over the light should flash if it's getting signal. The other thing to make sure of is that there is voltage to the coil, to do so just use the test light in the normal way by hooking the clamp to a good ground and touch it to the positive wire going to the coil. If you find that it fails the test for the signal to the coil (flashing when on the ground) then the most likely cause will be the pick up in the distributor.
