While driving at 20 MPH I had to make a panic stop and the engine stopped. I tried to restart numerous times and the engine wouldn't start. I have 1/4 tank of fresh gas and checked both the fuel pump relay and fuse which seems okay. I read that there is no inertia switch on this car but can't find any other areas to check.

Hello, is there anything else odd you notice, for example, does the check engine light come on when you turn the key to just the "on" position? And when cranking the engine over does the Tachometer (RPM) gauge move at all? It's a matter of finding out what the vehicle is missing right now, ie Spark, or Fuel injector pulse. Do you hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds with just the key "on"? Does the security light stay on when trying to start it?
I would also do an inspection of the wiring harness for anything that may have come loose during the rapid stop.

Check this connector as well. Another thing, these are known highly for cracked/broken flex plates. Which distorts the crankshaft position sensor signal. The vehicle should also be scanned for any diagnostic trouble codes.
