Broke my flywheel and shut off truck wouldn't start. Replaced flywheel, water pump, valve cover gaskets, oil cooler and cleaned intake manifold. Have spark and fuel pressure but will not run.

Hi,

If you have spark and fuel, it should run unless the fuel isn't making it into the engine. Do me a favor. See if it starts for a couple seconds and then stalls using starting fluid. If it does, then we know it is a fuel related issue.

If it does start and then stall, I need you to check for an injector pulse. Here is a link that explains how that is done:

I have one other question for you. When you say flywheel, are you referring to the flywheel that is between the engine and transmission which the torque converter bolts to or do you mean the harmonic balancer which is at the front of the engine that the serpentine belt goes to.

Let me know.

I have fuel in the fuel rail and I tried starter fluid and nothing. Between the motor and transmission.

Hi,

If it doesn't even try to start with starting fluid, it sounds like there is no spark. Are you getting a good hot snapping spark? Also, although you have fuel pressure at the rail, are you sure the injectors are firing? I'm asking simply because if you have spark, fuel, compression, and the timing hasn't been changed, the engine should have no choice but to start. We are missing something.

Let me know.
Joe
