Coolant mixing with oil

Took to shop to get oil cooler replace leaking coolant from housing. I thought it was a head gasket at first so I put Blue Devil in it. It all came out so I knew it was the cooler just couldn't see all the way. Told the mechanic the problem he change the cooler but never flush the water out the system or put the thermostat back on. Now no leaks but my oil is milky but wasn't before the cooler was change. What should I do to check were the gasket leak is coming from?

No thermostat? You will damage the engine without that installed. Install it once you finish with the diagnostic.

As far as the milk, it sounds like a head gasket. Forget about the Blue Devil. That will not fix anything. If it worked and that is a big if, it is nothing more than a band aid. There is no sealer that will stop a head gasket leak. The only resolution is to do the job correctly and remove the heads.

To be sure, you need to do a leak down test on each cylinder. That is where you remove he plugs and add shop air into each cylinder one at a time and watch the coolant. If it moves in the radiator, then the gasket has failed.
