No, it will keep filling up.

Let us hope it is not the head gasket.

Keep us updated.

They did some more tests at the shop and they didn’t find anything wrong with my head gasket. I realize though that my car requires orange coolant (OAT) and I added green (IAT). Is this okay? I didn’t mix the two I just don’t know if it will create more problems in the future. Thank you.

Okay, you need to drain all the fluid and install the correct coolant. You cannot mix those 2 coolants.

As far as the leak, they missed something. The coolant has to be going somewhere.

I did not mix them, it’s just 100% green coolant, is that safe to use still, or am I required to use OAT?

The green is good as long as it is not mixed.

Roy,

Checked my coolant because you said not to mix them. This is what I sucked out of my radiator cap. Does green coolant turn yellowish over time?

Roy,
Both you and my mechanic say it’s okay to use green coolant. If my coolant was factory filled orange is it okay to switch? I keep reading positives and negatives of Dex-cool. Some say it clogs up, some day green will destroy your gaskets, some say don’t use green on newer cars. What is your opinion? I only worry a lot because this car is new to me.

If it is mixed, yes, it turns to jelly.

You can switch as long as you have 100% of one kind you are okay.
