Coolant leak

Our car has started leaking fluids it on driveway, seems coolant and I can smell the sweet smell. It does not leak all the time, but the temperature is going up on gauge and fans are kicking in. Any idea? No lights on, takes a bit for engine gauge to go up fans do kick in and run of a bit after car is off. Still under power-train warranty, but not sure what to do.
