Does the Actron CP9185 allow you to turn off the light and continue driving? Reason I ask, I have an emission code and no time to fix and vehicle is safe to drive. Wife sees the light and worries. If I could just turn it off until I can fix the problem that would be worth $35.00 easily. Thanks.

It claims it can. Do you know what the code is? They are known for the rear vent solenoid failing, like every GM truck since the late 1990''s.

P0442 EVAP small leak. On the Trailblazer there is another item for that leak. They develop a leak at the fuel sender. This might even be a warranty item as it is emissions and you appear to be in the extended warranty that GM issued on the Trailblazers. I'd give a dealer a call and ask. Might not cost you a dime.

As for the vent valve it's under the truck on the frame rail.
