Clutch will not go in

I feel knocking on it when I press on it lightly. Makes a bad knocking sound. Don’t know what it is or what I can do.

Hi,

It sounds like the pressure release bearing (throw out bearing) is bad or the pressure plate. The only thing you can do is pull the transmission to check it. If you feel the knocking, it isn't anything external.

If you look at pic 1, it shows the release bearing I am referring to. In pic 2, I highlighted the tangs on the pressure plate (clutch cover) that can break and cause a noise. The red arrow identified with an X is where the release bearing pushes to release pressure from the clutch disc.
