My car every once in a while when I make a hard turn out from a driveway or stop sign makes a popping noise. It sounds like the spring is what is making the noise, but I am not sure.

It does sounds like it is a spring or panard bar bushing that is giving you problems, lift the car in the air and check out the spring pocket bushings and bar bushings to see if they are failing apart, please get back to me with what you find.

Best, Ken

I think one thing is the original design of the Cavalier rear strut has the spring bottom on the bare metal of the strut, no lower rubber bushing.
