This just started, seems to be a clicking, tick tick I guess. It is pretty loud coming from the engine. It has not overheated, no dash board lights, it is driving about the same maybe not as much pick up and go. When I am idling I hear it but when I accelerate it seems to subside around 40 mph. I don't hear it at all at 70 mph. What could this be?

Hello, I'm Danny.

Since the noise is more at idle can you use your phone to make a video and upload it here? Off the top of my head without hearing I would say it would be loose rocker arms. Could need a valve adjustment. Hope to hear back from you soon. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Hello again.

From a quick glimpse of your video it looks like your check engine light is on.. It does sound like it needs a valve adjustment as I stated before. If you don't have access to a scanner/code reader your local auto parts stores have a tool loaner and will rent you one. Also, some auto parts stores will check the codes for free. Here is a tutorial showing what is involved:

Once you gather the code number(s) get back to us with the information so we can properly diagnose your car.Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for using 2CarPros and hope this helps.
