Locked up steering wheel

We have a 1998 town and country and whenever we put the key into the ignition the key does not turn. We have tried both keys. One minute the van was fine and now we can't even get the key to turn in the steering column. It is completely locked up.

Try putting the key in as far as you can, then tap it with a wrench or some object, these vans have an tumbler problem, but to replace it costs in the area of 200.00 just for the part! Let me know if the tap trick works for you.
