1998 Chrysler Town and Country Alarm system

My alarm system sometimes will not let me start my van. It will start and run for a few seconds and die. It does this three times and then it won't start at all. If I let it sit overnight it will start. Needless to say, this is a pain in the butt and I'm afraid to take it anywhere. Can the alarm system be deactivated? How can I fix this problem without spending a fortune at the Chrysler dealer? Also, I would like to know if I could get an address to mail a donation as I don't do credit cards. Thanks for your help. I have exact same problem. Still looking for answers. Today would not start at all all day. Missed work.
Hate the alarm system and would like to see it gone if possible. Pound on the dashboard - it works sometimes.
