My car when low idling or stop at red light
the oil engine light will come on
We change the oil every 3ooo miles
? Why does this oil light keep coming on?

You can do two things. One is pull the oil pressure sensor and have the true oil pressure checked. IF there is a problem with low pressure than you will need to go further.

I am more suspecting of the sensor being bad and it may be cheaper to put a sensor in rather than verify the low pressure scenario.
