2003 Chrysler Sebring 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 85000. Miles

I have my oil changed every 3000 miles but recently I had my oil changed and on my way home the oil light came on. I checked the oil everything was fine. Now anytime I come to a stop my oil light comes on, what could the problem be?

Hi:
The oil light is designed to come on when the oil pressure gets below a particular pressure. At a stop, when the engine is running at its slowest RPM, the pressure must be droping. What oil weight was used in the vehicle? I would recommend anything lighter than 5W30. Also, when the light comes on, do you hear any knocks or pings from the engine? If not, you may just have an oil sending unit that is bad. It's a cheap repair.
