Engine stop running no codes come up, fuel pump working

This has happen two times. 1st time driving down dirt road 25 to 30mi hr she ups & dies no warning just dies. I tow it home. I check it out plug in OBDII code reader no codes come up, fuel pump working, crank over real strong, can, t find any spark. Try to start 3 to4 more times. I give it up. 5 days later I try it, she starts right up.I drive her, she runs great 74mi. Later she does very same thing. She sit for about 2week I tryed it today she starts right up Ican, t afford to take it in please help, ron

Hello,

This sounds like the issue is a faulty crankshaft position sensor.
The crankshaft position sensor mounts to the engine block below the generator, just above the oil filter.
Over time with heat and vibration from the engine the crank sensor can lose its internal calibration. This will cause it to send incorrect data to the ECM. Which can trigger the engine to shut down. When this happens, the engine may or may not be restarted.
