I bought a 300m chrysler V6 3.5L 2001 from a young guy who starved the motor for oil "lord knows how long" after a oil filter was left off and car was driven. Now I pulled the pan off and there was a TON of metal shavings. To the point I had to power wash the pan to get it all out. There was only one bearing that looked to be pretty shot. And the rest was just copper showing. Now I still put a new set in all of them. After I started the motor up it sounded like a Diesel Engine. I went through the motor by taking the valve covers off and found the rocker and pedestal assm. Was pretty messed up. Bad adjusters, and you can move them side to side while still bolted down making a knocking sound. Now I sent them both out to a company who rebuilt the lash adjusters and put new swivel pads and plastic caps on it. The engine sounded wayy better. But theres still a weird knock. Only when u accelerate it knocks when you let it and its reving back down its quiet. So I hit the freeway to see if it will still make any sounds when oil has been primed into the adjusters. Well. Theres still a loss of power. And when I went harder on the pedel the engine started knocking really hard even at idle now. And it almost sounded like a tire was skidding to a stop. Im lost. Soo lost for an anwser here. Please help!

I'm sure this is fixed by now but from the explanation that you are saying i'd say you have spun a rod bearing due to running this with no oil or very low. The rods are first to go so it looks like it s overhaul time, if you haven't already.
