2004 Chrysler Grand Voyager Automatic 41000 miles

we were driving along at 50 when the speedo got stuck and the rev counter kept going round. Once stopped no reverse gear at all or drive, park, just L. We have been able to turn it off and get key out. No previous warning since we purchesed this car last year.

Make sure you didn't lose all your trans fluid. That would allow the pressure needed for shifting to drop too low for any drive gear. This trans has sensors that may fail and cause trouble and uses a computer for testing itself and for repairs also. You'll need to see if it's a low fluid or other problem if that is not the case. A scanner hooks up to your van and reads codes for diagnostics.
