Town driving, the engine over heats. Suspect controls for temperture control. Are the fans supposed to cycle whenever the ac is functioning? Thanks! VM.

ac on fan on yes
check fuses and motor
if all OK suspect the relay on the front fender reinforcement behind the grille

With temp. gauge pegged, no cooling system fan operation. When in motion system is normal temp.

check for power and ground at the coolant fan motor with the ac on if no power
check the fuses and relay
fan should come on after the AC clutch kick in



u can run a fused wire and check the fan motor this way too
