how do you replace a blown freeze plug? Located on the drivers side of the engine towards the back.

A freeze plug is a thin steel plug designed to pop out in the event the coolant freezes. What you need to do is pry it out using an old screw driver or something similar. Once it is out, clean all the corrosion from the engine block where is was.

After that, you have two choices. You can get another steel plug and tap it back into place which is easy if there is access, or you can get a rubber replacement. They basically are a rubber plug with a bolt through a steel outter plate and a bolt that when tightened, expands the rubber creating a water tight seal. I think they are easier to use, but that would be up to you.

Let me know if you have other questions.
