Hi,

My Cirrus keeps cutting off unexpectantly. I've checked the oils and all is well. I have no lights indicating any problems.

But, at odd times, when I stop at traffic lights (or just in the middle of traffic), it cuts off. It doesn't give me a problem to restart as of yet. During those times, I can feel the lost of [pressure] in the acceleration.

I took it to the mechanic as a result and the diagnostic came back as "A-OK" (no problems found). But it has happened at least four times since.

Does anyone know what might be the cause? The mechanic recommended that I try a "Slip and Stop" additive, but I don't want to cover up what could be a major problem.

Please advise.

Thanks, in advance.

Have a pen and a piece of paper handy. Insert the key into the ignition. And cycle the key to ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 5 seconds. PCM will go into diagnostic mode, and if there are any codes, look at the odometer LCD, and post the codes here. If there is no code, then I will advise what to look for.
