I had had this vehicle for 7 years and replaced the catalytic converter around 5 or 6 years ago along with the exhaust manifold. I just found out today that I need to replace my catalytic converter again due to it breaking apart which is causing a noise to the exhaust. What kind of "life expectancy" should I expect from a cat converter. I have never replaced one on any other car I have owned.

You should expect 7 years or 70,000 miles at the most, and 3 years and 36,000 miles at the least unless your warranty says otherwise. Terribly expensive, terrible replacement job, but they work. Have your cars fuel and ignition checked to prevent any premature failures. Ok your welcome
